Kelis recently performed at an event for ELLE and also just shot the video for her new video "4th of July". Since then, she has revealed her new copper-blonde hair color. I must admit, it is a very funky-stylish color but I don't know if I feel it on her as of right now. And I have been a Kelis fan for year, but recently I have been questioning some of her fashion statements. And what's up with her skin tone and uneven foundation. I'm not trying to tear the sista down, just really wondering where she is coming from with these recent choices.So what do yall think?

Hmmm....unsure of the hair color. I think I'd like it more on someone else...or maybe it's the makeup choice that doesn't seem to match ...or maybe its the lighting...Listen to me. LOL! I guess I sound like a true critic, huh? LOL! But honestly, Kelis never seems to surprise me with her "uniqueness" ...it's like I love to hate her style, but hate that I love it (all at the same time)...and this is why we love her, right?! :)
she has a song called "Millionaire" ft Andre Benjamin that is the best, the runner up would have to be "Circus"

I think she's trying to appeal to a different audience. I know she has a rather strong homosexual fanbase now a days...its kind of scary and I dont wanna sound like a conspiracy theorist but look at Lady Gaga's fanbase....maybe she's trying to reach that global community? (hence the light skin complexion... beyonce-esque?)

And my thing is Kelis has always been hella different when it comes to her look but recently she has been very outlandish but like you said...mass artists are doing that now...hence Beyonce and Gaga's calabo...Look at Xtina Aguleria, she is directly copying off of Gaga to me with her recent "re-invention" you know?
